It can be easy to forget that we are here precisely to be the salt and the light. It can be hard when our focus is rather finding association (which light won't find in the dark), or when you've been hurt personally somehow. Then it is harder to decide to make the difference; be the light in the dark; act in an opposite spirit; ask what would Jesus do? We have someone inside us that makes all the difference, and that is worth thinking about!
